Mandatory Biometric Enrolment for India Visa with effect from 01st May 2018.

The High Commission of India, Maputo announces Government of India's decision to make the biometric enrolment as mandatory for applicants of Indian visas.  It has been decided to implement the biometric enrolment with effect from May 01, 2018. Biometric data will be captured at the time of submission of application at the visa counter along with other documents. Hence, personal presence of applicant would be required for submission of visa application. Exemptions from Biometric enrolment will be allowed in the following cases only:

a.     Applicants below the age of 12 years and more than 70 years.

b.    Applicants holding Official/Diplomatic/UN Passports.
