India-Mozambique-Tanzania Trilateral Naval Exercise in Nacala (27-29 March 2024)

The second edition of India-Mozambique-Tanzania Trilateral Naval Exercise is being held in Nacala in northern Mozambique. INS Sujata, INS Tir and ICGS Sarathi along Mozambique and Tanzanian Navy Ships will be participating in various exercises - joint EEZ surveillance, firefighting exercise, navigation and emergency drills, engine room emergency drills & damage control exercise. Officer trainees will be undergoing basic training onboard the three ships.

As part of our outreach initiatives, the three ships will be opened to school children and community. 

These ongoing activities underscore India’s outreach to foster friendly relations through maritime cooperation, aligning with the maritime vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, known as “SAGAR – Security and Growth for All in the Region” with due emphasis on the Global South.
