High Commissioner visited Beira on 6-7 June 2025 and held meetings with Governor of Sofala province and Mayor of Beira city and discussed bilateral relations. Also, he visited Lucingo University and discussed possible areas of collaboration.
High Commission of India in collaboration with Indian business community in Beira organised a business roundtable in Beira. It was attended by about 100 Indian and Mozambican business people. Mr. Felix Machado, President of Commercial Association of Beira made a presentation about business opportunities in Beira city and Sofala province. This was followed by presentations by select Indian and Mozambican companies. The event concluded with Q&A session and networking session.
High Commissioner visited about 20 business establishments/factories in Beira and interacted with Indian nationals working there. Also, High Commissioner felicitated students from Sofala and Manica provinces who were awarded ICCR scholarships, attended the debate finals at Paras and Sia International School and attended Beira Malayali Association’s cultural programme which was attended by about 400 Indian nationals and friends of India.
