High Commission of India in Maputo in collaboration with MY Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports of India will be organizing Viksit Bharat Run 2025 on 28 September 2025 (Sunday) in Maputo. Separately, Indian community organizations are organizing similar events in Xai Xai, Beira, Tete and Nacala.  

Viksit Bharat Run 2025 is being organized across over 150 cities across the globe under the theme of “Run to Serve the Nation.” This initiative commemorates the 75th birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and reinforces the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. Participants will take the Viksit Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat Pledges, reaffirming their commitment to a Self-reliant and Viksit Bharat (Developed India). As part of the initiative of Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, tree plantation activities have been/will be carried out to symbolize environmental responsibility and sustainability.

We invite all members of the Indian diaspora, friends of India and local community members to actively join us in the initiative and spread the spirit of Seva and Atmanirbhar Bharat across the world.
