Donation of Relief Material & Medicines and Reception (27 March 2026)

Indian Naval Ship Trikand brought essential relief material and medicines for the people affected by the recent devastating floods in central and southern Mozambique, which was received by the Hon’ble Health Minister of Mozambique. Besides, 500 MT of rice will shortly arrive from India to further augment the humanitarian assistance. Also, this coincided with the delivery of 86 MT of medicines donated by India to Mozambique.
INS Trikand is currently on a three-day visit to Maputo as part of its ongoing overseas deployment to Africa, underscoring India’s commitment to maritime cooperation with friendly nations in its immediate and extended neighbourhood.
