The third Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) between India and Mozambique was held in Maputo on 18 August 2026. The Indian delegation was led by Shri Janesh Kain, Joint Secretary (East & Southern Africa) and the Mozambican delegation was led by H.E. Ambassador Dr. Jose Antonio Matsinhe, Director in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Mozambique.

2. During the FOC, both sides reviewed the entire gamut of bilateral relations, including political exchanges, development partnership projects, defence and security cooperation, trade and investments, consular matters, agriculture, sports, health, digital public infrastructure and people-to-people ties.
   
   
3. Both sides agreed to continue holding political exchanges and regular meetings of the bilateral mechanisms to advance close ties of friendship and cooperation between India and Mozambique.
   
   
4. The two sides agreed to hold the next round of Foreign Office Consultations at a mutually convenient date in New Delhi.
