Signing of Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty in Criminal Matters between India and Mozambique (13 Feb 2026)

The Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters between India and Mozambique was signed today in Maputo. The Agreement was signed by H.E. Mr. Mateus da Cecília Finiasse Saize, Minister of Justice, Constitutional & Religious Affairs of Mozambique and H.E. Mr. Robert Shetkintong, High Commissioner of India to Mozambique. The Agreement provides a framework for both countries to exchange requests for legal assistance in criminal matters and to facilitate effective cooperation in the prevention and prosecution of criminal matters in both the countries.
