As part of the celebrations of 50 years of diplomatic relations between India and Mozambique, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) sponsored the visit of a Gujarati Folk Dance group from Sanskruti Dance Academy to Mozambique from 2-6 October 2025.

 On the occasion of Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Day, the group performed at India House in Maputo, which was attended by more than 400 guests. The group performed at Sala Nobre in Nampula for the Indian community. The Mayor of Nampula and Secretary of State of Nampula graced the performance. In addition, the group performed at 4 other venues including two schools in Nampula. At Nacala, the Administrator and Mayor of Nacala attended the performance which was attended by about 250 guests.  Also, the group performed in 3 schools in Nacala.
