Indian Naval Ship Savitri visited Beira port in central Mozambique from 9-12 November 2025. During the visit, the Indian and Mozambican sides undertook joint training activities including VBSS training, firefighting exercise, anchor work and seamanship training,

Outreach initiatives included visits by more than 300 students from six schools in Beira and by more than 400 Indian nationals. The medical team of INS Savitri conducted a medical camp for more than 150 patients, and a team from the ship visited an orphanage – Provincil Daycare Centre at Beira - and donated food items. A yoga session was conducted onboard INS Savitri, and a friendly futsal game was held at Beira Naval Base. Also, INS Savitri personnel offered prayers at the community temple in Beira.
