RELAXATION ON VISA & TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS FOR FOREIGN TOURISTS TOINDIA

The Government of India has decided to ease the travel restrictions for foreign tourists to visit India as follows:

(i) Foreign nationals intending to visit India for tourism purposes will be allowed to enter into India on e-Tourist Visa/Tourist Visa through chartered flights(for group tourism only from 15 October 2021).

(ii)
All individual foreign nationals intending to travel to India for tourism purposes through Vande Bharat Mission, Air Bubble Scheme or by any scheduled/non scheduled commercial flights as allowed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation would be permitted to enter India from 15 November 2021.

2. Existing valid e-Tourist Visa/Regular Tourist Visa continue to remain suspended.

3.The foreign nationals would be required to obtain afresh e-Tourist/Regular Tourist Visa from Bureau of Immigration (BoI), or Missions/Posts abroad. They may be granted fresh single-entry e-Tourist/Regular Tourist Visa for 30 days. (e-Tourist visa can be applied through https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html. Regular Tourist visas are issued by Indian Missions/posts abroad).

4. Such foreign nationals shall be permitted to enter India by sea routes or by flightsand notthrough land Immigration Check Points.

5. The first 500,000 Tourist Visas (e-visa,regular visa & Visa on arrival) will be issued free of any charges(Gratis). No foreign National can take the benefit of Gratis visa more than once.

6. Travel of foreign nationals will be subject to protocols and norms relating to COVID-19 as notified by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
